How to Wrap the Perfect Holiday Present

Half the fun of a gift is a gorgeous presentation. These five tips will help you place the most beautiful presents under the tree.

We’ve all been there: frantically wrapping presents before a holiday party or gift exchange. Skip the stress this year and let Paper Source be your guide. We’ve enlisted the help of Sarah Tuchman, assistant store manager at Paper Source Columbus Circle, to share her very best tips for creating the prettiest (and easy) present.

1. Top It Off

“Add a gift topper! We have many items that can be fastened to the ribbon on top of your gifts including felt Christmas ornaments, Hanukkah Gelt, keychains, pens, paper flowers, and more”

2. Create an Element of Surprise

“Add tissue paper to the inside of the box. Each gift can be individually wrapped in tissue paper as well as adding some to the bottom of the box, letting it hang over the sides. Then you can fold it over the top for one final closure. A festive holiday sticker could be used to keep your tissue paper closed around your items.”

3. Tag It

“Gift tags are a great alternative if you have multiple gifts to give. Everyone loves to see their name, and who it is from, on something special.”

4. Make it Two-Toned

“Wrapping with two different colored or different sized ribbons can add dimension to your gift.”

5. Tie it Up Like a Tuxedo

“If you are wrapping a gift box, a tuxedo wrap could spice things up a bit. That way, you can turn your favorite wrapping paper into a gift box pattern. We have some holiday patterned boxes and white boxes. “
