Our Favorite Holiday Movies to Stream Right Now

Nothing goes better with holiday cookies than a movie marathon. And love them or hate them, holiday movies are always good for a little dose of uplifting cheer. To guide you on your streaming journey, we've rounded up our favorite new naughty and nice holiday films available right now on Hulu and Netflix. (But, if you go back to the classics, we won't judge you for that either).

"Happiest Season" on Hulu

This delightful and critically acclaimed film follows a lesbian couple who have to pretend they're just friends to their parents when they go home for the holidays.  As satisfying as a particularly good Christmas stocking, the film is brimming with bright and big names like Kristen Stewart, Mary Steenburgen, and Alison Brie. Watch Now

"Holidate"

A boy and a girl (played by Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey) both hate being harassed by their families about their singledom around the holidays, and decide to team up to be each other's dates to all holiday events. You can guess where the plot leads, but charm of the two stars make it entertaining to watch. Plus, if nothing else, these days watching people going to parties and socializing is pleasure enough. Watch Now.

"Christmas Chronicles 2"

The sequel to 2018's hit "Christmas Chronicle" brings back real-life couple Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn as Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus as well as the premise that two teenagers need to save Christmas. Kids and adults will enjoy the adventure, as well as the beautifully imagined North Pole. Watch now.

"Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey"

The visuals in this fantastical film are reason enough to watch; who doesn't love shots of a toy maker tinkering around the cozy chaos of his workshop? Forest Whitaker plays said toymaker, who has to rely on his granddaughter (Madalen Mills) to help him when his most important invention gets stolen. Watch Now.

"Angela's Christmas Wish"

This animated feature was – oddly enough – inspired by the heartbreaking novel "Angela's Ashes." This children's film is much warmer, and follows two Irish children trying to bring their father home for Christmas from Australia. Watch now.

"Operation Christmas Drop"

This film wins points for originality in the holiday genre. A congressional aide (Kat Graham) has to cancel Christmas with her family to do some investigatory work in Guam that just so happens to match her up with a handsome air captain (Alexander Ludwig). Watch Now.
