Where to Eat in New York This March

This month, our recommendation is to revisit classic eateries. In some cases, because they've returned to us (hello Barbuto!), and in others, because they might just be doing something so new and exciting we can't wait to try it (looking at you Levain and Uncle Boon's). At any rate, there's no shortage of foods to enjoy and explore this month, and we wish you very happy eating around the city.

Barbuto, barbuto food

Dishes from Barbuto

Barbuto (yes, it's back!): Rare indeed is a story about a NYC restaurant actually coming back after it closes. Which is why it's so heartwarming that West Village staple Barbuto has indeed been revived and is only 300 steps away from its original location.

Thai Diner: For any Uncle Boons fans out there who are sick of waiting for their table all night, the restaurant's owners have now opened a new spot on Mott Street nearby. Enjoy Thai delicacies served in a more casual – though plenty charming – setting.

American Bar: There's a new place to see and be seen. From the owners of the trendy Cafe Clover in the West Village comes this other trendy spot, which has already hosted its fair share of Fashion Week events.

Levain cookies, levain cookie, chocolate chip cookies

Levain cookies

Levain Bakery intros double chocolate chip cookie: Ever felt your Levain cookie was missing something? Or rather, had perhaps one too many ingredients? Yes, that's right; the beloved bakery is now offering their famous chocolate chip cookies with double the chocolate chips and no nuts. To put in perspective how big a deal this is; this is the first new cookie they've added to their line up since they opened, 25 years ago.

Dickson’s Farmstand Meats: When we sat down with butcher and Related resident Jake Dickson back in November, he was beyond excited to tell us about his new, much-bigger shop, which is now open on the ground floor of Chelsea Market. There's seating out front, as well, so you'll have plenty of space to stretch out and enjoy your hot dog in peace.
