The Espresso Martini Gets its First Dedicated Bar

The Espresso Martini first appeared on the scene in the 1980s (as the lore goes, a supermodel was the one who inspired its creation in a London bar) amidst a general martini craze. Today, as an endlessly Instagrammable drink, the espresso martini is back. In fact, in 2022, it even knocked the classic Manhattan off the list of most ordered cocktails as it rose in popularity.

It should come as no surprise that cocktail enthusiasts were clamoring for a place to solely sip the popular spin on the martini. And with that, Rose Room entered the scene.

From the minds behind Queensyard, the beloved Modern American restaurant by D&D London, Rose Room opened its doors in Hudson Yards in late February for the expresso martini enthusiasts among us.

The concept is simple: five unique espresso martinis on the menu–each crafted with premium ingredients and beautiful garnishes. Each martini is priced at $21 and there’s just one perfect pairing on the menu–Truffle Fries.

“We are thrilled to expand D&D London’s footprint in the USA with the first-ever Espresso Martini Bar. It’s about time New York City offered a destination dedicated to the classic cocktail!" said Ryan Harris, the D&D London Director of Operations USA.

Rose Room has partnered with Copalli Rum on its 2AM in Tulum and Velvet Tiramisu Espresso Martinis. Renowned for their sustainable practices and exceptional quality, Copalli Rum perfectly complements the unique flavor profiles of Rose Room's Espresso Martinis.

Stopping in for the decor alone is worth it, with Rose Roomadorned with 4,000 real preserved roses from Flux de Fleur, a luxury floral company known for their Eternity Roses, immersing guests in an extravagant rose garden.

Rose Room’s hidden bar within Queensyard seats 30. Open Tuesday - Saturday from 5 PM - 9 PM. Rose Room does not take reservations, but with all cocktails serving up caffeine, even a late-night seat is fabulous.
