5 NYC Restaurants to Celebrate Mother’s Day in Style

Mother’s Day is coming, and New York is ready. Tons of restaurants throughout town are featuring special meals and offerings to celebrate mom on Sunday, May 9, and are welcoming guests with an advanced reservation. We’ve selected a few of them in Manhattan that mom is sure to love. Read on for what these restaurants are dishing up in her honor.

In Hudson Yards, Queensyard is teaming with NEOM Organics London for exclusive giveaways. The first ten reservations will receive gifts of Neom products, and the restaurant will be dotted with hand soaps, lotions, and scent diffusers to create an Zen, stress-free environment. Queensyard will also feature special Mother’s Day cocktails and desserts. 20 Hudson Yards, New York, NY 10001

 

Chef Tom Colicchio’s flagship restaurant Craft in Gramercy is hosting a Mother’s Day brunch with a $59 pre fixe menu for adults, and a $35 pre fixe menu for children under 12. The day’s offerings include shared appetizers like burrata with ramp chimichurri and citrus-cured Arctic char, entrees of brioche pain perdu with strawberry compote and ricotta cavatelli with English peas and mint, and sharing sides of crispy bacon and roasted asparagus, among others. In Chelsea, Bottino will have a special Mother’s Day brunch menu from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The $75 three-course, pre-fixe menu will include a glass of prosecco, house Bloody Mary, or a glass of fresh squeezed juice. Menu items include fresh vanilla bean yogurt with house-made granola and mixed berries, spicy gazpacho, pan-fried Branzino with puréed artichoke and black truffle vinaigrette, and herbed scrambled eggs with sliced New York strip steak. Seafood-focused restaurant Oceana in Midtown West will host a Mother’s Day brunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The three-course pre-fixe menu will run $59 per person, or $29 per child 12 and under. Menu items include shrimp and grits with cherry bomb pepper tomato chutney, whole wheat Belgian waffles with citrus and honey butter, and crab cake Benedict. David Burke Tavern on the Upper East Side is offering a $65 three-course pre-fixe menu on Mother’s Day from noon until 8 p.m. The Mother’s Day menu has yet to be announced, but the New York Times wrote upon the restaurant’s opening in 2016 that “[Burke’s] menu can be counted on for inventive touches.” So expect some delicious things. 135 East 62nd Street, New York, NY 10065
