We’ll All Be Wrapped in Peach Fuzz in 2024

Pantone’s Color of the Year has become a highly anticipated announcement since it first started singling out a hue 25 years ago (it was Cerulean Blue back in its inaugural year for those keeping track). The last couple of years, as we collectively attempted to boldly return to normal after the pandemic years, brought us the vibrant colors Very Perri (2022) and Viva Magenta (2023), but in 2024, after another year that’s seen ongoing turmoil, Pantone wants us to push reset. Thus, “Peach Fuzz” was named. According to Pantone, the color is “a heartfelt peach hue bringing a feeling of kindness and tenderness, communicating a message of caring and sharing, community and collaboration. A warm and cozy shade highlighting our desire for togetherness with others or for enjoying a moment of stillness and the feeling of sanctuary this creates, PANTONE 13-1023 Peach Fuzz presents a fresh approach to a new softness.”

Think of it as a calming breath of color. With that in mind, we’ve pulled together ways to incorporate it in all aspects of your life. Here’s to a restful and meaningful 2024.

How to Decorate With Peach Fuzz

Grab a can of Peach Fuzz paint and create a calming accent wall. Like this one featured in House BeautifulOr if you want a busier wall, Pantone partnered with Spoonflower to create some cool wallpapers.

How to Wear Peach Fuzz

We’ve already seen celebs like Zoë Kravitz and Florence Pugh wearing the hue on red carpets. And it’s been seen all over runways. Want more ways to wear it in your real life? Fashionista has a great roundup on everything from peach pants to a pretty puffer jacket.

How to be Cozy

How about a nap in this? Ultrafabrics has partnered with Pantone to put together some cozy fabrics. If an over-the-top nest chair doesn’t fit into your decor, add some calming accessories to your desk.

How to Celebrate With It

Finally, perhaps the easiest (and most fun) way to add some Peach Fuzz to your life. Mix up a batch of Peach Bellinis, have some friends over for brunch, and toast to the new year!
